The day included a tour with small businesses typical of Agros. At 10 am we arrived in the city, the first stop was a grocery where a shop assistant greeted us with traditional tastes of cold cuts, various cheeses and local wine. Then we went to a local confectionery business, where we witnessed the preparation of the Soujouko , a typical dessert made from the boiled thick grape juice which apart from honey. The last place we visited was a historic family-run store specializing in rose-based products where we could test cosmetics, sweets, and spirits and finally the saleswoman showed us how their candles are made.
Ended the morning we were divided into groups to proceed with interviews with local citizens; once finished we reached the Youth Center where the representative of the Agros office welcomed us, starting the meeting with an ice breaking game and then proceeding with the presentation of the various projects and activities carried out by the association.
The visit to Agos allowed a full immersion in the local traditions of a small but big country called Cyprus.
